Being a small town situated at the boarder town in Southwest Nigeria Idiroko has had it fair share of the effect the pandemic brings.
Our churches has gone on recess and people are beginning to have frog voice. Many can’t even sing anymore,I guess some don’t even pray at home. In fact I know some people that can sing losing interest in singing, this should be our next super star.Most people prefer to do tik tok challenge and get all active on Facebook but forget that when this pademic is over there will be those that have taken this as a training ground. Train yourself so as to be great when all this is over. Incase you don’t know people will be releasing records after this pandemic is over.
Creativity needs time and great focus and that is what this period is all about. Have you asked yourself how many songs have you written or have you picked out those songs that are undone and walk them finish. From lockdown to a star I what I pray for those reading this to become in Jesus name. There are lot of ways to find inspiration just look inside of you.
Idiroko needs a boost in her music life ,just like other parts of the country and world inclusive people sinf on the street, people organise concert and stream it online so people can follow up. The following are things I would recommend for the people of Idiroko to do to revamp her musical life.
1) Organise platforms for street challenge. In this,organisers could get a speaker and a mobile phone or laptop with a reliable power source. Singers could also sing karaoke versions of some popular hit singles
2) Churches, bloggers,and God-fearing companies could organise a competition on their social media platforms or website for the participants to be rewarded
3) Encouraging Cover versions of songs, post it on a gospel page or website or just share with you friends
